The aim of this group’s activity is to think about language and its place in a polarized public debate.
Words are increasingly becoming an ideological weapon and replicated clichés, driving us away from consensus and shared values. How to converse about difficult matters despite divisions into tribal identities? How to describe reality without violent labels and gestures of superiority? What language should cultural institutions use to become hospitable places? How to be inclusive and not discriminate, while fostering agency?
