Jan Możdżyński

 

(b. 1986) – graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His work explores issues of gender and the stigmatization of sexual preferences, illustrating situations tied to the performance of gender roles while disintegrating what is traditionally understood to be masculine and feminine. He emphasizes the links between feminism and the rights of sexual minorities, asking—among other questions—whether the exclusive gender binary, itself a product of repressive patriarchy, is justified.
